BOSTON, Mass. - Lasell College took advantage of numerous Emerson College unforced errors to take a 3-0 Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's volleyball victory over the Lions in Emerson's Brown & Plofker Gym.
The game scores were nearly identical as the lasers took the first and third games by 25-17 counts and won the middle game 25-18.
Lasell took a 6-5 lead in the first game and never looked back, stretching the lead throughout the set. Game two was tied at 13 before the lasers ran off four straight points and Emerson was never able to close to within less than three points the remainder of the game. Similarly, game three was tied at 10-10 until Lasell had a six point run off service from Andrew Glenn '14 (Westport, Conn.) for an insurmountable six point lead. the Lions never came closer than five points for the rest of the match.
Nadav Swarttz '13 (Newton, Mass.) led Emerson with nine kills, while Garrett Mercer had six in his return from injury. Steve Selnick '12 (Cheshire, Conn.) had 20 assists and Evan Ong '11 (Pasadena, Calif.) led the Lions with nine digs.
