The Lead: Emily Quinn (Dartmouth, Mass.) scored four goals but it was not enough for the Lions who fell to the Blue Streaks 19-8 in regulation. 


  • Emily Quinn (Dartmouth, Mass.) was tied for a game high in goals with four for the Lions while adding one assist.
  • Tara Windsor (Palm City, Fla.), Isabelle Alexander (Harlem, N.Y.), Jenna Tomsky (Clinton, N.J.), and Camille Mumford (Yardley, Penn.) each chipped in with a goal a piece.
  • Kristina Monica (East Moriches, N.Y.) faced 29 shots, making ten saves for the Lions.
  • Colleen Grombala, Grace Curatolo, and Gina Valsick each had four goals for the Blue Streaks.
  • Brooke McQuinn added three goals and one assist.


  • The Lions and Blue Streak traded goals early, with Emerson tying the game on an Emily Quinn goal at 1 with 25:56 remaining in the first half.
  • The next twelve minutes were dominated by the Blue Streaks, who scored five goals in the time frame, topped off by a Gina Vlasick unassisted goal at 12:23.
  • Tara Windsor grabbed one goal back at 9:21 on a great pass by Camille Mumford.
  • After a Colleen Grombala goal by John Carroll, Emily Quinn and Camille Mumford scored back to back goals to cut the Blue Streaks lead to four.
  • The last five minutes of the first half were all Blue Streaks, who scored four unanswered goals going into the break, bringing the score to 11-4 at halftime.
  • The Blue streaks continued their scoring streak into the second half, scoring three goals in the first ten minutes to extend the lead to 15-4.
  • The Lions and Blue Streaks traded goals for the next five minutes, scoring two a piece.
  • John Carroll scored three goals in the final ten minutes and Emerson scored two, bringing the final score to 19-8.
