    MILTON, Mass. - Junior Jack Fox (Los Angeles, Calif.) tossed a complete game and fanned nine alongside junior Cam Beattie (Gilbert, Ariz.) driving in three runs in the Emerson baseball team’s 7-4 win over Curry in non conference play on Thursday afternoon.

    WENHAM, Mass. - The Emerson baseball team held an early three run lead only to watch Gordon put nine runs on the board within the fifth and sixth frames and shouldered an 11-9 setback to the Fighting Scots in non conference baseball on Wednesday afternoon. 
  • Baseball Battles Back To Capture 7-6 Walk-Off Win Over Clark

    DANVERS, Mass. - The Emerson baseball team played comeback ball by spreading six of its seven runs within the final three frames and used junior Joe Paladino’s (Bedminster, N.J.) line drive single into center in the bottom of the ninth  to walk-off with the 7-6 win over Clark on Wednesday afternoon in NEWMAC play. With the win, the Lions captured the series sweep over the Cougars.

  • Baseball Shoulders Pair of Setbacks To MIT

    DANVERS, Mass. - The Emerson baseball shouldered a tough two game sweep to the MIT Engineers to wrap the weekend and season series between the NEWMAC East foes on Saturday afternoon. In game one, the Lions were upended in a 22-4 setback before nearly coming away with a game two victory, but fell 9-4. Prior to today’s twin bill, the baseball team celebrated the careers of its eight seniors consisting of Tim Mainella, Daniel Gaynor, Pugliese, Ethan Young, Brian Fisher, CJ Rogers, Max Wildstein and Noah Zimmerman.

The week begins on Tuesday afternoon with a single game down at Coast Guard at 3:30 p.m. On Friday, the Lions enter a weekend series with MIT starting with a 3:30 game on Friday before a pair at home on Saturday.

Emerson begins the week hosting Coast Guard on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. and heads out on the road for two games at Newbury on Thursday and WPI on Saturday.

    AUBURNDALE, Fla. - The freshmen bats of Quinton Copeland (Houston, Tex.), Louis Davolio (Worcester, Mass.), Erich Vinacco (Bolton, Mass.) and Joe Colucci (Howell, N.J.)  powered the Emerson baseball team to its first victory of the 2019 season in a 15-4 win over Penn. St. - New Kensington in the opening game of the doubleheader. In the second game of the day, the Lions could not hold on to a six-run lead and were edged out by a late comeback by the Nittany Lions and fell 7-6 on Monday afternoon.
  • Baseball Upended In Two By Muhlenberg To Start Off Spring Break

    AUBURNDALE, Fla. - Junior Joe Paladino (Bedminster, N.J.) collected a pair of hits while three Lions each drove in runs in the Emerson baseball team’s first game of a doubleheader with Muhlenberg, but were upended 4-3. In the afternoon game, the Lions were shutout 15-0 by the Mules to wrap the day on Sunday.

    DANVERS, Mass. - Freshmen Quinton Copeland (Houston, Tex.) and Louis Davolio (Worcester, Mass.) racked up a combined four hits and four RBIs for the Emerson baseball team as the Lions had its comeback halted in a season opening 7-5 loss to Framingham State on Thursday afternoon.
