Men's Basketball Announces Incoming Freshman Class

The Emerson College Men's Basketball team is proud to announce its incoming freshman class for the 2019-2020 season.  After graduating two seniors last season, Geoffrey Gray and Mac Sashin, the Lions set their sights for another run at a NEWMAC Championship in 2020.

BEN ALLEN

Winnacunnet High School

High School Statistics: 18 PPG, 8 RPG, 5 APG

 A 6'5 versatile athlete, Allen joins his former high school teammate Zach Waterhouse to Emerson after a very impressive career at Winnacunnet High School, Division I NHIAA, in Hampton, New Hampshire.  A two-year captain, Ben helped his team reach the playoffs for three straight seasons, while being recognized as All-State Honorable Mention his junior season and All-State First Team as a senior.  Ben plans to major in Sports Communications at Emerson.

 

JAMES BECKWITH

Menlo Atherton High School

High School Statistics: 12 PPG, 5 RPG, 3 APG

 A sharpshooting 6'4 wing with great all-around skill, Beckwith joins Emerson after playing at Menlo Atherton High School, Peninsula Athletic League (PAL), in California. A two-year captain, Beckwith's leadership showed his senior season as it was full of both team and individual accomplishments as his team finished with a 24-5 record.  Menlo Atherton won the league boasting a 12-0 record and accomplishing rankings in their section (4th), Bay Area (11th), and Northern California (19th). His senior year, James was awarded the Windsor Holiday Shootout Tournament MVP, Palo Alto Weekly Athlete of the Week, First Team All-League (PAL), and San Jose Mercury News All Bay Area.  James plans to study Sports Communications at Emerson.

 

STEPHEN FABRIZIO

Duxbury High School

High School Statistics: 11 PPG, 11 RPG

 A strong 6'6 forward, Fabrizio joins Emerson from Duxbury High School, Patriot League, in Massachusetts.  As a captain in his senior season, Fabrizio played a key role for his team being awarded as a Patriot League All Star. Stephen plans to major in Sports Communications at Emerson.

 

LUKE HOSOZAWA

Sunny Hills High School

High School Statistics: 18 PPG, 11 RPG, 4 APG

 A 6'5 versatile athlete, Hosozawa can play both the guard and forward position.  Luke joins Emerson after a successful stand at Sunny Hills High School from the Freeway League in California, where he helped lead his team as a two-year captain to reach the playoffs three times.  Hosozawa achieved many accomplishments including two time All-League, 1st Team All-CIF, Orange County All-Star, and 1,000 point scorer.  He finished his career at Sunny Hills 11th all time in points per game, 5th all time in rebounding, and 5th in field goal percentage.  Luke plans to study Marketing Communications at Emerson. 

 

JAMES GASCOIGNE

Arlington High School

High School Statistics: 18 PPG, 10 RPG, 3 APG

 A 6'4 strong and bouncy forward, Gascoigne joins Emerson after a very impressive career at Arlington High School, Middlesex North, in Massachusetts.  A two-year captain and two-year Middlesex League champion James helped his team to win the Comcast Christmas Tournament, while being recognized as a three time League All-Star, and 1,000 point career scorer.  James plans to major in Sports Communications at Emerson.
