Weekly Preview: Men's Soccer Begins October On The Road

BOSTON, Mass.
- The Emerson men's soccer team prepares for a busy week away from Rotch with a pair of road matchups out at Eastern Nazarene and WPI. The Purple trek across the city to Quincy, Mass. for a non-conference meeting with the Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday night. Then on Saturday, the team heads to Worcester for an early morning game at WPI starting at 10:00 a.m. 


A LOOK BACK ON THE WEEK 

  • Wrapped the week going 1-1 
  • Picked up a 2-0 Charles Cup River victory out at Lesley behind sophomore Darius Boamah's (San Diego, Calif.) first collegiate goal and a tally from classmate RJ Dziejma (Flanders, N.J.)
  • Dziejma tallied the Lions' lone goal in the 88th minute of Saturday's NEWMAC opener against Coast Guard, but wasn't enough as the Lions slipped to the Bears, 2-1 


DZIEJMA NAMED LION OF THE WEEK 

  • Two goals on the week for the sophomore midfielder earned Dziejma the accolade of Lion of the Week for competition ending on September 29
  • Dziejma tallied the game winner in Tuesday's 2-0 Charles River Cup win over at Lesley before recording his second goal of the season in a setback against Coast Guard
