The Lead: Freshman Jamal Thompson (Upper Malboro, Md.) and sophomore Jeff Pratt (Atkinson, N.H.) put in goals for the Emerson men's soccer team to push the Lions to a 2-0 senior day NEWMAC victory over the MIT Engineers, marking its first NEWMAC win of 2019.
Prior to today's matchup, head coach Brian Harkin and assistant coach Daniel Toulson recognized its pair of seniors, Gavin Faucette and Creighton Dorfman, for their dedication to the Emerson soccer program over the last four years.

HOW IT HAPPENED
3" (EMERSON): Feekins sent a long ball through to Thompson, who controlled the ball and beat his defender. Thompson curled a left footed shot into the side netting of the far post and put Emerson on top, 1-0, a mere three minutes into the first half.
68" (EMERSON): After continued pressure by the Lions, Pratt was subbed on and made an immediate impact. Pratt made a far post run, which Ruiz picked out with a left footed cross. Pratt headed the ball down into the near post, beating the Cowham for the second goal of the game.
