The Recruitment Process
The student athletes who are a part of the Emerson Men’s Soccer Program are identified through a year-round recruitment process. It is important for interested student athletes to understand this process and it’s timing. Please see below for some important steps that can be taken during the recruitment process:
How do I contact the coaching staff at Emerson?
Please complete our Men's Soccer Recruiting Questionnaire so we can keep you up to date on new ID clinic dates and where our staff will be recruiting throughout the year. Then follow up with a personal e-mail to our Assistant Coach Daniel Toulson at firstname.lastname@example.org and copy our Head Coach Bryan Harkin on the e-mail at email@example.com.
What is the best way for you to see me play?
Attend one of our ID Camps: We hold three one day ID clinics each year, which are a great chance for the coaching staff to work with you, for you to meet our current student athletes, and to better understand how you fit with our culture and style of play.

Visit Campus: Throughout the year you can visit campus, meet with Admissions, organize a campus tour, and spend time with the coaching staff. Please see here to sign up for an Undergraduate Information Session and/or Campus Tour and here to schedule a transfer student meeting. Please then contact Assistant Coach Daniel Toulson, firstname.lastname@example.org, to coordinate meeting with the coaching staff. We encourage high school graduates to visit campus during their Junior academic year.
Attend a game: We encourage you to attend a game the fall of your Junior year. This will showcase the level of play, our playing style, and the atmosphere at our home, Rotch Field. Please see here for our schedule and here for directions to Rotch.
We are currently identifying players in the class of 2020 (juniors) and 2021 (sophomores). The Spring, Summer and Fall of junior year is an important period during which we assess a players potential fit for our program and college. During this time, we invite top recruits to visit campus for an unofficial visit.
The majority of recruits apply through our Early Action process (November 15th deadline) with a limited amount applying during Regular Decision (January 15th deadline).
