Men's Tennis Performs Well at First Tournament of Fall

The Emerson Men's Tennis Team hosted it's first tournament at St. John's Prep over the weekend and had a strong showing.  The Linos hosted a three bracket tournament, with teams from around Massachussetts participating.  Bracket A was won by Emerson's Bass Lin, who defeated fellow Emersonian Maximo Lawlor to earn the victory.  In the B bracket, senior Daniel Okin fell in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, after a strong showing to earn his way to the finals.  In the doubles Bracket, the Lions team of Okin and Lin found their way to the finals, falling just short in a close match which saw them lose 9-8 (6).  The Lions will return to the court quick as they take on Stonehill College on Wednesday starting at 6:00pm.
