Coach Aaron Bergeron enters his third season as the Lions' Head Coach in 2019-2020.  Before Emerson, Bergeron was Head Coach at Merrimack and The Wentworth Institute of Technology. While at Merrimack he lead the Men's team to a Northeast-10 Conference Title in 2015, and was the 2015 NE-10 Men's Tennis Coach of the Year. Prior to coaching at Merrimack, Bergeron also served as head coach at the University of Southern Maine, where he lead the Men's team to their first Little East Conference title and first NCAA tournament appearance since 2007. He was voted the 2014 Little East Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.  Bergeron helped the Lions' to one of their most successful seasons in 2019, finishing as Coach of the Year for the New England Women's And Men's Athletic Conference. 

Coach Bergeron graduated from Stonehill College with a BA in Psychology. He played on their varsity tennis team where he was a 6-time All-Conference Selection and made the NE-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. He also served as team captain during his senior year.

When not coaching, Bergeron competes in USTA adult leagues including the men's 4.5, 8.0 mixed, and 9.0 mixed leagues. He has gone to nationals in 2015, 2016 and 2017.
