All Time Record

  • Emerson and Babson will meet for the seventh time in their short history.  Emerson earned their first victory just ten days ago on Senior day, with a final score of 3-2.  Babson leads the all-time series 5-1-0.

  • Emerson and Babson have never met in the postseason, and this will be Emerson's first time hosting a NEWMAC playoff match for women's soccer.

Scouting the Beavers

  • Babson finished the season with a 7-9-2 record and a 4-6-0 record in NEWMAC play, earning a sixth seed in the tournament.

  • The team is led by Jessica Fernandes, who is tied for seventh in the conference in goals. She has scored nine goals and added three assists.

  • Maggie McCabe leads the team in assists with four while also scoring four goals on the season.

Scouting the Lions

  • Jess Frost leads the team in goals with seven, most recently scoring against the Clark Cougars to tie the match before Veronica Alberts scored the game winner in OT.

  • Both Megan Rose and Sophia Giordano have been strong in net for Emerson.  Playing in 14 matches, Rose is fourth in the NEWMAC with 88 total saves. Giordano is 13th with 24 in six matches played.

  • The Lions rank third in goals against on the season with 29 allowed.

  • If Emerson wins and SPringfield wins their match, EMerson will travel to Springfield on Thursday for the Semifinal match.
  • If Emerson wins and Springfield loses, Emerson will host another match on Thursday against the highest remaining seed under them.
  • The lowest remaining seed will take on MIT, who has earned a first round bye.
