The Emerson Lions women's soccer team has four players earn all-conference honors for their great play in the 2018 season. Amanda Benavente, Jess Frost, and Paige Haley earned First-Team All-Conference Honors while Rookie Goalie Megan Rose earned second team honors.
Amanda Benavente, Sophomore, Defender #2
Benavente started in all 19 games for the Lions in 2018. She tallied 9 points for the team, scoring three goals and assisting on three more. She took 24 shots from her defensive position and put 13 on target, good for a .542 shot on goal percentage. One of the goals Benavente scored was a game winner. Benavente was vital in the Lions' ability to translate defense into offense.
Jess Frost #13, Senior, Midfielder
Frost started in all 19 games for the Lions, totaling eight goals and eight assists for 24 points. Frost Converted her lone penalty in a NEWMAC matchup against the Coast Guard Bears. Three of her goals were game winners for the Lions. Frost played multiple positions for the Lions, including midfield and forward. Her versatility was vital to Emerson's success.
Paige Haley #13, Senior, Forward
Haley tallied six goals in 19 games palyed for the Lions, with 16 started. Haley partnered up top with Frost and Veronica Alberts, making a strong attacking trio. Haley totaled 32 shots and put 22 of them on net. Two of her six goals were game winners for the Lions.
Megan Rose #1, Freshman, Forward
In her rookie season, Megan Rose took the starting job for the Emerson Lions, starting in 16 of 19 games in net. Rose earned an 8-5 record, with 102 saves and only a 1.83 goals against average. She made 29 saves in conference, with an .831 save percentage and a 1.50 goals against average.
