Women's Soccer Taking Strides To End Cancer

Each member of the 2018 Emerson College Women's Soccer Team is Taking Steps to end Cancer. The Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign benefiting The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and their funding of research to find blood cancer cures.  The Emerson College Women's Soccer Team joined a community of friends, families and co-workers fundraising for LLS.  The effort culminates in an inspirational and memorable evening on Wednesday 10/17/18, participants joined together carrying illuminated lanterns to take steps to end cancer.  Each lantern color represents a mission connection; red in support of patients, white in honor of survivors and the power of research, and gold in remembrance of those loved ones we've lost. The coaching staff and players raised a significant amount (just above of $5500) for the campaign and proud to participate in the walk around the Boston Commons, the front door of Emerson College. The team has been taking part since 2011, raising over $30,000 dollars over the seven years.
