Bou Aziz Pushes Women's Soccer Back Into Win Column; Capture 1-0 Win Over St. Joseph's (Me.)

The Lead: Freshman Marie Bou Aziz (Miami, Fla.) netted the Emerson women's soccer team's lone goal in the 31st minute to push the Lions to a 1-0 victory up at St. Joseph's (Me.).

HOW IT HAPPENED 

31": Both Bou Aziz and MacPherson subbed into the game at the 27:20 mark with the score locked in a scoreless tie past the midway point of the opening half, which ensued several minutes later in the duo teaming up for the Lions' first and only goal. 

  • St. Joseph's best scoring opportunity came at the 62:25 mark when Kayla Gooch broke free on a breakaway, but had her shot sail two feet off target to the right side.
