The Lead: Senior Veronica Alberts (Half Moon Bay, Calif.) found the back of the net deep into the second half and decided the game for the Emerson women's soccer team in its 1-0 NEWMAC victory over Wellesley on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

71" (EMERSON): With a defender on her side, Cosgrove drove the ball up the middle and diagonally right footed a pass up to Alberts, who was open up in the top left corner. Alberts cut inside and had her shot sail into the top right corner of the net just past Lincoln's jump. 

 

UP NEXT
